VISUAL ARTS INTERNSHIP POSITION AVAILABLE

Park Avenue Artists is seeking visual arts students who are interested in gaining experience in music industry design, especially in relation to artist management. Sample projects include creating promotional graphics (one-sheets, posters, web design), merchandise design, short music films (animations, lyric videos, stop motion), and album art. Particular focus will be on digital strategy for artists on tour, releasing content, or growing independently. Interest and experience in social networking tools for marketing and publicity is a bonus. 

This is a non-paid internship. Prospective interns must be able to receive academic credit for their time.

TIME COMMITMENT: 15 - 20 hours a week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The position also may involve assistance with various design tasks, including:

  • Create digital graphics and illustrations according to various artist needs,

  • Compile visual materials for outreach to potential collaborators.

  • Organize databases and complete miscellaneous administrative tasks.

  • Assist artist teams in maintaining artist publicity files (photos, bios, website and social media content).

  • Conduct research for artist and company-wide projects relevant to visual design.

YOU ARE:

  • Skilled in prompt digital media production using Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and/or any tool of choice.

  • Interested in learning and participating in the music industry, theatre world, and entertainment industry.

  • An efficient multitasker and self-starter.

  • A strong communicator and willing to speak with a variety of clients.

  • Familiar with standard office software, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Slack, and have the ability to learn new software. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and video editing software, such as iMovie and Final Cut Pro, is a plus.

  • Interested and experienced in the major social networking platforms to assist in artist, event, and project marketing.

ARTIST MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP POSITION AVAILABLE

Park Avenue Artists is seeking individuals with interests in artist management and the performing arts for its artist management internship program. Primary tasks include conducting market research, drafting materials for outreach, finding potential collaborators, and updating databases. This position will particularly focus on digital strategy for all artists who touring, releasing new music, and/or or growing independently.

This is a non-paid internship. Prospective interns must be able to receive academic credit for their time.

TIME COMMITMENT: 15 - 20 hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assist artist teams on various projects, including contract preparation, pitches to collaborators, and monitoring, as well as maintaining artist publicity files (photos, bios, website and social media content, rider information).

  • Conduct research for artist and company-wide projects, track contacts, and brainstorm artist opportunities.

  • Assist in client meetings, prepare marketing materials to meet client needs, and engage in correspondence and coordination as needed. 

YOU ARE:

  • Passionate about and/or interested in learning and participating in multi-genre artist management and market research tasks.

  • An efficient multitasker and self-starter.

  • A strong communicator and willing to speak with a variety of clients.
