CHARLIE CHAPLIN’S SMILE with philippe Quint

Charlie Chaplin’s SMILE with Philippe Quint is a multimedia show in recital and with orchestra, which is not only a celebration of Charlie Chaplin's musical legacy but also an exploration of one of the most fascinating life journeys. Combining rare vintage images and video footage from classic Chaplin films with live music, this show celebrates the enduring relevance of Chaplin's comedy in today's society. Chaplin’s films, crafted during the early 20th century, tackled pressing social and political issues, poverty, unemployment, inequality, and immigration, that continue to resonate deeply in the modern society. But there are always new layers of brilliance and emotion within Charlie Chaplin such as his musical legacy, compositions and even conducting. Philippe Quint explores these connections, creating a musically rich fun and entertaining performance for all ages. In 2019, Philippe Quint made his debut on Warner Classics with the release of his album “Chaplin’s Smile.” The live performance has debuted around the world with the Baltimore Symphony, La Jolla Music Society, Ravinia Festival, New World Symphony, and in locations as far ranging as Germany, Switzerland, the UK, México and beyond.
