Ashley brown

Ashley Brown originated the title role in Mary Poppins on Broadway, for which she received Outer Critics, Drama League, and Drama Desk nominations for Best Actress. She reprised her role in the national tour of Mary Poppins, garnering a Garland award for Best Performance in a Musical. Ashley’s additional credits include Belle in The Beauty and The Beast, Laurey in the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s production of Oklahoma!, and Mother in Cincinnati Pops’ production of Ragtime. A Disney darling, Ashley is regularly hired for “Disney on Broadway” concerts, for Epcot’s Festival of the Arts and for Disney cruises.

Ashley has appeared with nearly every major U.S. orchestra, including New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Boston Pops and more. She made her solo recital debut at the Kennedy Center, and has performed cabaret shows at Feinstein’s at the Regency and Birdland. Her PBS special, titled “Ashley Brown: Call Me Irresponsible,” received a Telly Award and is now available as a recital/cabaret program.

Spoonful of Sugar (Orchestral Program)

Paying homage to her originating role of Mary Poppins on Broadway (and the National Tour), “Spoonful of Sugar” is Ashley’s newest pops orchestra program. Featuring classics from Disney and Broadway repertoire, including Feed the Birds, Reflection and Defying Gravity, this program is a sure favorite for all ages.



Call Me Irresponsible (Recital/Cabaret Show)

Ashley’s recital/cabaret program, “Call Me Irresponsible,” was originally recorded for a PBS special, which received a Telly Award. Including beloved Great American Songbook repertoire such as “My Funny Valentine”, “Speak Low” and “Smile/Make Someone Happy,” the program is a nostalgic evening featuring Ashley’s warm and welcoming tone.
