Time For Three

   Time For Three
General Management

TIME FOR THREE, comprised of violinist Nicolas (Nick) Kendall, double-bassist Ranaan Meyer and violinist Charles Yang, has been described as “America’s favourite classical garage band.” Originating at Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute of Music. Tf3 has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, The BBC Proms, NFL games, the Indy 500and Dancing with the Stars. Their acclaimed PBS special released this year won an Emmy Award. The group’s hit YouTube bullying-prevention video, “Stronger,” has inspired students across the globe, eliciting features on CNN and the Huffington Post.

Since 2009, Tf3 has held a hugely successful residency with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, helping to expand the orchestra’s audience with innovative outreach. Their first album for Universal Music Classics rose to the top of the Billboard Classical charts. The album, with tracks co-produced by Bon Iver’s Rob Moose, showcases not only the trio’s melody-rich string weave but also its uncommon flair for collaboration, with the group teaming with pop singer songwriter Joshua Radin, saxophone icon Branford Marsalis, Decca cello star Alisa Weilerstein and ukulele ace Jake Shimabukuro.

They are now recording their sophomore album for Universal Music Classics with several of the recordings to be released in conjunction with their Night of the Proms tour throughout Europe this fall.

Time for Three is the future of music.
