Performing Arts Against AIDS is a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Funds raised by Classical Action are distributed through Broadway Cares to AIDS and family-service organizations nationwide and to the essential social service programs of The Actors Fund. Classical Action was founded by the late Charles Hamlen, who was a longtime champion of artists fighting against AIDs. The 2018-19 inaugural Hamlen-Palm series celebrates Hamlen’s legacy and Classical Action’s work through four intimate house concerts with world-renowned artists: violinist Joshua Bell, mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves, the Emerson String Quartet, and pianist André Watts. Park Avenue Artists is honored to be the artist curators for the Hamlen-Palm series in support of one of our industry’s most meaningful causes.
